The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation on March 8 named two new co-chairs to head the Innovative Theatre Awards' honorary-awards committee. Ben Hodges and Abby Marcus will take the reins from outgoing chair and Back Stage contributor Leonard Jacobs, who held the position for five years. The foundation also announced two new honorary-awards committee members: performance artist Desiree Burch and publicist Katie Rosin.

The honorary awards include the artistic achievement award, which recognizes individual artistic achievement; the stewardship award, which recognizes service, support, and leadership; and the Caffe Cino fellowship award, which includes a $1,000–$5,000 grant given to an outstanding Off-Off Broadway theater company. 2010 will be the sixth year for the Innovative Theatre Awards, which honor excellence in Off-Off-Broadway theater.
